One of the Apostle Paul’s favorite topics in the book of Romans is the nature of our existence on earth, and that we are all corruptible in our spirits, souls, and bodies. There is no question that human systems, such as governments, are filled with corruption as well. Today, with Donald Trump as President, the evidence is undeniable.
As their schemes fail one-by-one, the Deep State has just one card left to play: lawfare. Activist Democrat judges are stopping Trump by slapping temporary restraining orders on his policies at a breakneck pace. There are 15 injunctions against the President—who has been in office less than two months. Under Joe Biden, there were 13 in four years.
Let’s take a look at the epic failures of the Deep State Democrat Party, starting with the lack of leadership, which was on full display last week.
Caving on the Continuing Resolution
Senate Democrats were adamant. No way were they going to provide the few votes needed to pass the Continuing Resolution (CR) that would temporarily keep the government funded—that is until Majority Leader Chuck Schumer caved. The Party painted themselves into a corner. You can’t scream about cutting staff, and then not vote to fund staff salaries.
Schumer convinced nine Democrats to vote with the Republicans and pass the CR. At a press conference on Friday, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries refused to confirm that he has confidence in Schumer.
It had to hurt when Trump posted this:
Why this Matters: The GOP, which is supposed to be in favor of small government, had two who didn’t play along: Sen. Rand Paul and Rep. Thomas Massie, both from Kentucky.
Majority Leader Thune blamed the situation on last year’s Democrat majority who wouldn’t allow 11 bipartisan bills to come to the floor. He promised that next time around, the vote will not be on the eve of another shutdown.
The Democrat base wants their politicians to fight Trump, and 77 percent believe they’re doing “too little” to oppose the President. Punchbowl News reported on this pickle:
“We saw a flurry of public statements this week from Democrats who were trashing the CR and declaring their opposition to it even as they privately, and sometimes publicly, warned that a shutdown would be much worse.”
Party in Last Place
Democrats are about to become irrelevant and fade into oblivion if they don’t find a new leader and a message other than “stop Trump.”
The latest survey of potential Democrat Party leaders is splintered, with no one person holding leadership potential. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortes leads a weak field of contenders for “Who best reflects the core values of the Democratic Party?”
CNN also found that Democrats have lost 20 points under Joe Biden and have the lowest approval in CNN's 30-year polling history at 29 percent.
NBC found that only seven percent of Americans have a “very favorable opinion” of the Democrat Party. Again, the lowest number ever recorded.
Notably, 57 percent of Democrats want their Party to stop the GOP’s agenda. Just 42 percent want congressional Democrats to work with the GOP.
The only thing left is to use the judiciary to fight policy decisions one-by-one in the courts of law, which is exactly what they’ve done to combat two of Trump’s latest actions.
Step 1. Removing Violent Visa holders
Mahmoud Khalil is a thug agitator who overtakes college campuses and threatens the safety of Jewish students. Secretary of State Rubio is trying to ship him back to Gaza, or Syria, or Algeria where he was born, saying he is a threat. Rubio will be reforming the Visa system so people like Khalil will be prevented from entering in the first place.
Khalil filed a lawsuit claiming Rubio must prove his presence would “compromise a compelling US foreign policy interest.”
Leftists complain that Khalil has a right to “free speech,” and a civil right to remain in the US.
Step 2. Using Foreign Enemies Act
President Trump removed 137 foreign criminals via the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, plus 101 Venezuelans via Title 8 immigration law, and 21 Salvadoran MS13 members, plus two MS13 ring leaders.
He cited their actions as follows:
Invaders and conducting irregular warfare against the US.
Aligned with Maduro administration and Cartel de los Soles drug cartel
Goal of destabilizing the US by harming citizens, undermining public safety
These illegals were flown to El Salvador’s Terrorism Confinement Center at the invitation of President Nayib Bukele.
Mainstream media was outraged, complaining that Trump used an outdated law, defied the court, took an action that is “exceedingly rare and highly controversial.” Judge James Boasberg immediately slapped a Temporary Restraining Order on Trump’s action, but the White House said at that point, the planes were over international waters, and they did not have to comply.
President Bukele of El Salvador, who is charging the US a maintenance fee for these prisoners, wrote on X:
The planes landed, and a video was released of the prisoners being “escorted” to their new home. It’s important to note that within the CR was $430 million for ICE to detain, deport, and transport illegal aliens.
Why this Matters: Judge Boasberg is a true activist. He approved of FISA spying on President Trump’s campaign in the 2016 election, helped the FBI brand Trump aid Carter Page as a Russian spy, and when DOJ lawyer Kevin Clinesmith was caught falsifying an email, the Judge fined him $100 and gave him a year probation.
Boasberg’s wife Elizabeth Manson is a super donor to Democrat politicians and founded an abortion clinic as retaliation for the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade.
These actions make Democrats the Party that puts criminals over the well-being of citizens. It’s not a winning message, and yet, 77 percent of Democrat voters want the Party to continue fighting Trump’s agenda.
What’s Next
Republicans in the House and Senate are preparing to hold hearings, and there will be articles of impeachment filed against Judge Boasberg and others. As Stephen Miller explained to CNN, “It’s impossible to have a country if each deportation has to be adjudicated by a district court judge… it is incompatible to have a country [run this way].”
Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley wrote, “Another day, another judge unilaterally deciding policy for the whole country. This time to benefit foreign gang members. If the Supreme Court or Congress doesn’t fix, we’re headed towards a constitutional crisis.”
President Trump suggests that Biden’s pardons, especially those of the J6 committee members, are void because they were signed via autopen—perhaps without Biden’s knowledge. He was in the Virgin Islands when the pardons were signed. Trump said they’re “subject to investigation at the highest level.”
Below: Trump posted a funny meme for the past three presidencies, plus his thoughts about Biden’s pardons.
The actions of these judges are being fought through the appeal process and a test case will likely end up with the Supreme Court. Impeachment is an arduous process that requires a majority vote in the House and a 2/3 vote in the Senate—but articles have already been filed.
Other lawfare involves federal workers who have been fired and their positions eliminated. The activist judges say that President Trump does not have the authority to fire people, especially when Congress has created the job description and outlined the rules for terminating personnel.
There are four historic precedents that have been set in the Supreme Court on the extent of the President’s authority. Eventually, the current SCOTUS will have to answer:
Can Trump legally remove people from office?
Does Congress have the authority to limit his authority?
Does certain legislation violate his Article II authority?
Why this Matters: The Constitution and executive branch must be restored to the vision of the Founders. About 200 judges were confirmed by Senate Democrats between the election and inauguration. These local judges are issuing nationwide injunctions to stop Trump everywhere. Test cases will make their way to the Supreme Court, and in the meantime, perhaps the GOP Congress will enact a law to stop unelected judges from hamstringing a president.
How to Pray: For an end to judicial activism, that every judge honors the Constitution or is removed. Pray for DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and Tom Homan that God protects all law enforcement as illegals are removed. Our detention facilities are capped at 48,000 and have reached their limit, so pray for solutions. Ask God to continue exposing the lunacy, and that loved ones who are still blind to the truth will have their eyes opened. Know the issues and be ready to engage with questions. Our work is not in vain!
1 Corinthians 15:58 - Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
Talk about a rollercoaster ride! Am I right Lori. Im praying for and with you and for this madness to end (knowing it’s going to get much worse) but that God is in control. Who ever HE chooses to lead is whom I will follow and help. Right now that man is President Trump. I don’t agree with all he states but watching his actions is where it’s at. Thanks Lori - buckle up as JFK files are put out! ML, GBY, and prayers 🙏🏻🙌🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻🙌🙏🏻
We must keep praying for our country and President as he restores order. The Constitution was written with a clear message. God still rules the world and He will have the last word. We are the last bastion of freedom.
