What if you were safer in your war-torn homeland than in an America given over to racial “equity” expressed in freedom for criminals?
IIryna Zarutska, 23, found that out this week. She left Ukraine for America only to have her life taken on a train in Charlotte, North Carolina. Ilryna boarded a train on August 22, looking forward to a quiet ride home. But minutes later, as she sat in her seat looking at her phone, a career criminal came up behind her and stabbed her to death.
What makes this murder even more despicable is the reaction of other passengers. Sitting just a few feet away, some ignored the carnage, others froze, and some turned their eyes away.
Ilryna bled out, surrounded by people, afraid to step in. It’s as if the brutal arrest and persecution of Daniel Penny, who stopped a would-be killer on a Manhattan subway, was a deterrent to anyone who might have saved her.
Ilryna’s murderer is Decarlos Brown. He has been arrested 14 times, two of which were for assaulting women. This year alone, two judges returned this mentally ill psychopath back into an unsuspecting community.
Above: Two judges who returned him to the streets, Brown’s arrest record, and the GoFundMe account purporting to fight “injustice” against him.
Magistrate Judge Teresa Stokes - In January, Stokes allowed Brown to be released on no-cash bail. As a magistrate judge, her qualifications were either a 4-year college degree, or a two-year degree plus four years experience.
Judge Roy Wiggins - Last month, Brown's public defender questioned his mental capacity, so Wiggins ordered a forensic evaluation, but did not put Brown in jail.
A third person has also abdicated her responsibilities: Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles (D). She is a progressive leftist who has presided over policies that sacrifice safety in order to protect criminals. After the incident was finally reported last week, Lyles suggested she would “think about safety,” and thanked her “media partners” for not sharing video details of the story.
Lyles, like many other progressive lawyers and politicians, said we’ll never arrest our way out of such issues, and defended criminals, saying its usually the mentally ill who are victims of crime, not perpetrators.
Why this Matters: The murder rate in Charlotte jumped 40 percent from 2023 to 2024. The reason is the same nearly everywhere: a priority of leniency for young offenders, forgiving non-violent offenders—who usually go on to commit violence, and “racial equity” through softer penalties.
DHS Round-Up at Hyundai in Georgia
While Democrat demonstrators in DC protest the clean-up of criminals in our nations’ capital, DHS agents are quietly rounding up illegals and preparing to arrest criminal employers. On Friday, they descended on the Hyundai battery plant in Bryan, Georgia, and detained 450+ illegals. Homeland Security was joined by ATF, FBI, DEA, ICE, and other agencies.
Steven Schrank, the special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations in Georgia, spent months investigating the Hyundai plant. Criminal charges could be coming for hiring illegals who crossed the border with no paperwork, or had visas that specified they’re not allowed to work in the US.
In addition, there were 300+ workers detained from South Korea. That government announced they will take them back.
Shrank said this has been a multi-month criminal investigation driven by personal interviews and evidence. No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
This plant was sold to the community in exchange for $10 billion incentives given to Hyundai from local, state, and federal governments. In exchange for the promise of 8,100 jobs for Americans, the plant made Savannah the sixth fastest growing county in the country, with housing becoming unaffordable and unattainable.
Why this Matters: A whistleblower on X reported that she turned in Hyundai because of the deplorable conditions of the workers. She stated that they were being paid “slave wages,” or not at all. Some were being trafficked—giving money to their handler and sending most of the rest home. They live five families deep in despicable conditions and have no quality of life, according to the whistleblower.
Chi-Pocalypse
Chicago has been given notice. President Trump posted the meme below, suggesting that the terrible crime problem in Chicago is a Chi-Pocalypse, and tackling it is next on his list. The meme is a throwback to the movie Apocalypse Now, and the tagline “I love the smell of napalm (deportations) in the morning.”
Under Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, the city has fallen farther into a hole, with nearly 150,000 reported crimes this year—including 278 murders. That's almost 600 crimes a day. Neither Johnson, nor Governor JD Pritzker, think crime is a problem. Johnson signed an order August 30 directing Chicago police not to cooperate with federal agents on immigration enforcement. Pritzker vows to sue if Trump sends help.
On Sunday, Reporter Yamiche Alcindor asked President Trump, “Are you ready to go to war with Chicago?”
Trump responded, “When you say that, darling, that's fake news. Listen. Be quiet. Listen. You don't listen, you never listen. That's why you're second rate. We're not going to war...we're gonna clean cities up so they don't kill 5 people every weekend.
That's not war, that's common sense.”
“Maryland Man” En Route to Eswatini.
We may never have heard of Eswatini, but that’s changing. It is about to become the new home for “Maryland man,” Kilmar Abrego Garcia—a wife beater, human trafficker, and alleged gang member.
He and several Democrat lawmakers have been fighting his legal deportation to Uganda and 20+ other countries, but according to ICE, his claims of fear of persecution are “hard to take seriously.” So now he will be deported to Eswatini, joining five other US criminal illegals—four convicted of murder/homicide, and one convicted of child rape.
DOD Becomes Department of War
President Trump signed an executive order on Friday, changing the name of the Department of Defense back to its original moniker: the Department of War.
The newest target for the War Department is the cartels and illegal drugs. Ten F-35 fighter jets were deployed to Puerto Rico for operations against drug cartels in the Caribbean. This is the second recent deployment; the first was a successful hit on a Venezuelan drug boat with 11 people onboard.
Vice President Vance posted on X that “Killing cartel members who poison our fellow citizens is the highest and best use of our military.”
Why this Matters: Senator Rand Paul believes this is a problem. He cited the book To Kill a Mockingbird and asked if Vance cared “if the accused were immediately executed without trial or representation??”
The response on X was enormous, with 28,000 replies. The top responses excoriated Senator Paul, reminding him that a Navy strike on an armed cartel boat in international waters is not the same as Atticus Finch defending an innocent man.
Another X user wrote: “This is the kind of attitude that got us into this mess in the first place.”
Found: 23,000 Missing Children
ICE Director Tom Homan announced that the Trump Administration has been diligently searching for the 470,000 unaccompanied children that went missing after crossing the border into the US under President Biden.
Here are the sad results:
Children found: 22,638 of the 470,000 who entered the US between 2021-2024
Deceased: 27 children, from car accidents, murders, drug overdoses, suicides
Sponsors arrested: 400+ for serious crimes of child abuse and endangerment
The children were found in terrible conditions. Some had been repeatedly raped, others were in “debt bondage,” and some were sexual slaves. There was no DNA testing to see if there was a familial connection when the children crossed the border, and many were released to sponsors who were not their parents. The vetting under Biden was “very relaxed.”
Why this Matters: Seemingly, the Biden Administration allowed or encouraged staff to put faulty information into the computer system, making it difficult to find these children. Kudos to the staff from HHS and volunteers from several other agencies who went through data and addresses to find them.
How to Pray: Praise God that some children have been rescued. Pray that the staff working to find the rest will be successful. Thank God for putting President Trump in office and for the great people working to set things right in this country. We also need an end to the lies and propaganda of the media. Pray for Americans to WAKE UP!
Ecclesiastes 8:11 - Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
