There have been a few developments in several cases related to political murders and attempted murders—plus the hard truth revealed in the recently released government files on Martin Luther King, Jr. We’ll look at these three cases, why they matter, and how to pray.
1. Would-be Assassin Ryan Routh & Son
Before failing to assassinate President Trump at the golf course, Ryan Routh tried to purchase a military rocket (RPG) from a Ukrainian, stating “Trump is not good for Ukraine.” He signaled his intent to murder by saying he needed equipment so Trump doesn’t become president. Routh traveled to Ukraine in 2022, and made several attempts to purchase a military rifle. He faces jury trial in September.
But there’s more to the story. Routh has a son, Oran, who is a convicted pervert.
Last week, Oran Routh was arrested and sentenced to 84 months in jail for possession of child porn. During the hearing, the Judge noted that because of Oran's involvement in a pro-abuse web channel, he’d be getting a stiffer penalty.
Oran lived with his mother, Laura, after his parents separated. Mom kicked him out of the house at the age of 15 for refusing to go to church. He then lived with his father until Ryan pushed him down the stairs. Laura pleaded for leniency for Oran, describing her ex-husband as a "sex addict."
Law enforcement began investigating Oran in 2023 for CP. They didn’t follow up until Oran’s father tried to assassinate President Trump.
2. MN Shooter Vance Boelter
Dr. Vance Boelter (PhD) is the evangelical missionary who shot and killed a Minnesota lawmaker and her husband, and also tried to kill two others. Recently, his letter to FBI Director Kash Patel was published. In it, he confessed to the killings and predicted he’d soon be dead. Boelter described being trained since college by US military “people” and serving on “projects” in Eastern Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Africa. He said it was “all in the line of doing what I thought was right and in the best interest of the United States.”
Boelter also wrote that he was approached about a project MN Gov. Tim Walz wanted done: to kill Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith. He wrote:
“Tim wants to be a senator and he doesn't trust ______ ____ to retire as planned and that she is planning to stay at the last minute. With Amy + ______ gone Tim would get one of the open senate seats, and _______ wants to be Gov, and Keith [Ellison, MN Attorney General] would be rewarded with a generous position.”
Boelter said he responded to Walz, saying he wanted nothing to do with it and to call off that plan, or he, Boelter, would go public. He described the killing saying he was able to get away by God's mercy, and went back a short time later and shot at both _________ + _______.”
The letter didn’t explain why he shot state lawmakers.
He notes that he didn’t fire at police even though he had plenty of opportunity. Also in the letter, Boelter:
Invites FBI Director Patel to call Tim Walz and ask him.
Says Walz supported him and placed him on the governor’s workforce board.
Says Walz kept the initial reports about the shots fired from the press.
Says he knows where the skeletons are buried and is willing to be held at a military prison outside the US because he’s afraid of being killed; also wants his family kept safe.
3. MLK, Jr. Files Released
Last week, the Martin Luther King, Jr., documents were released from the government archives. These are memos, summaries (with edits in the margins) and newspaper clippings dated from 1963 and many years afterwards. Several pages are blank and some are impossible to read. The release was reported to be 240,000 pages of documents, the result of an executive order signed by President Trump in January.
The media claims there are no “bombshells” in the files, with the AP adding that Trump pushed the files out now because it deflected from Jeffrey Epstein. The King children tried to block the release, but Alveda King, MLK’s niece, thanked President Trump.
There are two main points about King that we should mark and understand:
He was not a Christian in any form—either by the content of his preaching or the content of his character.
He was a Communist who wanted to bring Soviet-style government to the US using the issues of racism and civil rights.
The FBI spied on MLK because of his Communist Party affiliations and intentions. Attorney General Robert F Kennedy reluctantly agreed to approve of surveilling King from November 8, 1963 to April 30, 1965. The actual recordings of the wiretaps are set to be released in 2027.
Because of the surveillance, the FBI unwittingly picked up information on King’s moral character. It would appear that he was a consummate hypocrite, a braggart, had a foul mouth, was a sexual pervert, and relished punishing women who wouldn’t perform “unnatural sex acts.”
This is from one agent’s report:
“On one occasion, a Maryland minister brought to Washington several women ‘parishioners’ of his church. The group met in his room and discussed which women among the parishioners would be suitable for natural or unnatural sex acts. When one of the women protested that she did not approve of this (unnatural), the Baptist minister immediately and forcibly raped her.”
King looked on, laughed, and offered advice.
“On January 6 and 7, at least 12 individuals nearly equally divided between men and women, including King, officers of the SCLC, and others bearing the title of ‘Reverend’—participated in a sex orgy. Excessive consumption of alcohol and the use of the vilest language imaginable served only as a backdrop to acts of degeneracy and depravity, many of which were committed in a communal atmosphere with the onlookers as ‘entertained' as the participants. Many of those present engaged in sexual acts, natural as well and unnatural. King more than once boasted of his drunken condition as he took a leading role in this debauchery.”
The agent ended his report with: “The good doctor doesn’t exactly practice what he preaches, does he?”
Southern Christian Leadership Council
In 1957, King founded the Southern Christian Leadership Council in Atlanta. They used civil dissent, such as boycotts and marches, to protest segregation. Most of leaders were ministers who believed that their dissent should begin at church.
Stanley Levison, a Communist Jew, was the treasurer of the Southern Christian Leadership Council.
He also acted as King’s business manager and loaned him large sums of money when King was in a bind.
In 1952, Levinson described King to Gus Hall, General Secretary of the Communist Party USA, as “a wholehearted Marxist who has studied Marxism, believes in it, and agrees with it, but because of his being a minister of religion, does not dare to espouse it publicly.”
Levison co-wrote the first draft of King’s “I Have a Dream” speech with Clarence Jones, who was a member of the Communist Labor Youth League while at Columbia University.
Why this Matters: Most of the memos in the release were to be filed under the heading: Sensitive Foreign Intelligence Operation—ongoing. We can see why. One memo reads: MLK, JR. Communist influence in racial matters. He was using desegregation as a stepping stone to import Communism.
There are plenty of people who say these files were a made-up smear campaign, but that would not explain why:
King plagiarized one-third of his dissertation, according to a 1990 investigation by Boston University.
He received the first-ever Margaret Sanger Award (Sanger founded Planned Parenthood and was an advocate of eugenics).
He preached repentance, but it was limited to racial injustice and racial hatred.
He didn’t believe in the virgin birth or the resurrection of Christ.
King thought Jesus was a great historical figure, but not God in the flesh.
The year he died, King was planning to lead a boycott to demand $20 million per year for ten years for reparations. This idea may have come from the Soviets. According to Yale author Mary Dudziak, the civil rights movement was spawned by the USSR, and King and others were using this propaganda scheme to destroy America, not help blacks.
How to Pray: The truth is painful, but it is makes us free. Pray for God to open the eyes of the blind. Only He knows how all this works together for our good. Pray that we will all remember to keep our eyes on Him, not on man, who will always disappoint. Praise God that He is our mercy and strength in times of trouble. Pray for fellow believers to keep God’s commandments.
Exodus 20:5-6 - Thou shalt not bow down thyself to [idols], nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
I’m sure this was difficult to hear and report on, Lori. You explained it am quite thoroughly and succinctly. You are right - we are to worship only God the Father, Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit- not man! Praying and reading scripture while sharing His Word. Pray with intent in Jesus name. Amen🙏🏻🙌🙏🏻
Oh my! What a wake up call!!
