DHS Hires Spies who Lie, Ignores Crisis

The Department of Homeland Security has issues. Big issues. Nearly insurmountable—with 35,000 migrant encounters in the past four days at the southern border, and a threat assessment that states in 2024, fentanyl from Mexico will continue to kill more Americans than any other threat.

So it’s a bit shocking that Secretary Mayorkas has turned to 17 intelligence experts for help. Two of them, are headliners who got one of the most important stories of 2020 absolutely wrong: former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and former CIA Director John Brennan.

Spies who Keep Lying

Yes, you read that right. These two men were part of the 51 intelligence professionals—the spies who lied and never apologized—who claimed that Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation, and cast doubts on facts that could have kept Joe Biden out of the White House. Mr. Clapper also lied when questioned by Congress about the federal government spying on us, and Mr. Brennan said Trump was a traitor and implied that he should receive the death sentence.

This newly appointed DHS group also includes journalists, so-called human rights advocates, and civil liberty experts—supposedly providing DHS with a wide range of views and perspectives. They will help analyze foreign adversaries and domestic, violent extremists.

“The security of the American people depends on our capacity to collect, generate, and disseminate actionable intelligence to our federal, state, local, territorial, tribal, campus, and private sector partners,” Mayorkas released in a statement. 

Will they be looking into domestic extremists such as Roman Catholics (identified by the FBI as potential domestic terrorists), pro-life activists, and parents who protest at school board meetings?

Garland Grilled

One of the hardest things to watch and not lose your cool is the questioning of Attorney General Merrick Garland by House Republicans. He continues to tell lies and insists that justice is blind in the Biden Administration. What’s worse, he pretends to be absolutely clueless about what goes on in the Justice Department or FBI.

One thing we deserve to know is how many FBI assets were present as instigators on January 6. Garland dodged the question, saying he didn’t know whether there were any assets on the ground, or how many.

In fact, the FBI had so many paid informants on the scene that it lost track. Later, the agency performed an audit to determine exactly how many, and which FBI field offices ran them. This is according to Steven D’Antuono, who was formerly in charge of the bureau’s Washington field office. He has been questioned by a House Committee.

Rep. Massie (R-KY) questioned the inequity of J6 sentencing, comparing the fate of FBI asset Ray Epps, who encouraged people to go inside the Capitol and got charged with a misdemeanor, to the multi-year sentences for people who had the doors opened to them by Capitol Police.

"Yesterday, you indicted [Epps] on a misdemeanor. Isn't that a wonderful coincidence? On a misdemeanor! Meanwhile you're sending grandmas to prison! You're putting people away for 20 years for merely filming, some people weren't even there! Yet you've got the guy on video who is saying ‘go into the Capitol.’ He's directing people to the Capitol before the speech ends, he's at the site of the first breach, you've got all the goods on him, ten videos, and it's an indictment for a misdemeanor?!"

"The American public isn't buying it. The charge is a joke," Massie said.

It wasn’t just FBI that had undercover assets on the ground on J6—so did the DC police.

Another irate lawmaker was Ukrainian-born Rep. Victoria Spartz (R-IN). She told Garland that his FBI threw smoke bombs at mothers pushing strollers, and said Americans are afraid of the department that he heads. Spartz pointed out that Garland has held no one accountable, and his actions have empowered Russia and undermined the war in Ukraine.

Hunter Sues the IRS

Hunter Biden announced a lawsuit against the IRS, claiming they illegally released his tax information. His lawsuit also alleges that when agents who were investigating him—IRS whistleblowers—told Congress and news reporters about their concerns that the case was not being managed properly, they violated his privacy rights as a taxpayer.

Trouble in PA

Democrat Governor Josh Shapiro has just made voter registration in Pennsylvania automatic. "From now on, when you get or renew your driver’s license or an ID card at the DMV, you’ll be registered to vote unless you choose not to,” he said. Pennsylvania is now the 24th state to enact automatic voter registration, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.

Scott Pressler, the former dog-walker who now walks the streets of America registering voters, says that Shapiro’s action signals desperation among Democrats. He has made headway registering Republicans in PA and points out:

• Large numbers of gun owners are not registered to vote. This will make it easier for them to defend the Second Amendment.

• This adds more white working class and Hispanic voters—two groups that are responsible for wins in 2016 and 2022.

• “The Pennsylvania Democratic Party is in shambles. Recently, it printed out thousands of cards reminding voters to vote on November 8th—a day after Election Day. They are lacking money & underwent a round of layoffs in July 2023,” Pressler says.

Senate Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has removed the dress codes for Senators because one Senator, John Fetterman of PA, refuses to comply with normal business attire. On Wednesday, Fetterman presided over the Senate (above) wearing a short-sleeved shirt, and pants—we hope.

Criminals Roam Free in IL

Illinois has become the first state in the US to entirely abolish cash bail. That means that second-degree murderers and those who commit aggravated battery will walk away from jail without posting bond.

Coincidentally, the crime is so bad in Chicago that retailers are fleeing the city.

Mayor Brandon Johnson announced that he may bring in government-run food stores instead. Chicago has lost four Walmarts and a Whole Foods. A Walmart spokesperson says their Chicago stores have not collectively been profitable in the 17 years since the first one was opened.

Steve Boulton, chairman of the Chicago Republican Party says the answer isn’t socialism. “Food deserts do exist in Chicago neighborhoods,” he said, "but the answer is promoting capitalist prosperity and stopping crime, not injecting more socialist dependency.” According to the Chicago Police Department, thefts are up 25 percent year-over-year, and robberies are up 11 percent.

It has to Stop

The mayor of Eagle Pass, Texas, has issued an emergency declaration because a massive surge of migrants is overwhelming his community. Not one individual from the Biden Administration or DHS is doing anything to stop it.

Meanwhile, Mr. Zelensky of Ukraine was back in DC with his hands out, begging for more cash. His government hired a 46-year-old transgender former US soldier as a spokesperson for the Ukrainian department of defense. Sgt. Ashton-Cirillo then made an official speech in which a threat was made to "hunt down" and kill foreign journalists critical of US involvement in the Ukraine war. On the list was Human Events editor Jack Posobiec.

The next day, Ukraine’s defense forces announced that Ashton-Cirillo will be suspended and investigated.

Is guaranteed income next?

The out-of-control spending and taxpayer-funded rescue of tens of million of migrants is reminiscent of the Cloward-Piven Marxist strategy to bring us to guaranteed minimum income. Cloward and Piven worked up their plan in the 1960s to end poverty by overloading and crashing the system to institute a form of socialism.

• We just reached $33 trillion in deficit

• We now spend $20,000 per second in interest alone

• It only took our politicians three months to add this last $1 trillion in debt—and they’re working on the next spending bill.

Why this Matters: Call your lawmakers and tell them ENOUGH of this insanity. Secure the border, stop the woke agenda, and end the funding of Ukraine. Let them also know that Secretary Mayorkas must be impeached for refusing to do his job. This man is possibly more dangerous to our country than the Mexican cartels themselves.

How to Pray: For God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. May we be found faithful, even if our leaders are not. Pray for the stalwarts in the House to rein in the spending, impeach the criminals, and for the American people to demand better of politicians. Pray for Eagle Pass and every community that is being deluged by migrants. May we all remember to repent as necessary for our sins and iniquities.
