Fires are raging unabated in Los Angeles today, a continuation of the Pacific Palisades blaze that initially began as a brush fire on Tuesday morning, and spiraled out of control due to extremely high winds.
As of Friday, that fire was just 8 percent contained. Others have sprung up in various locations, causing more damage than any others in Los Angeles County history.
Map above shows scale of detected fires: newer fires in deep red, fires older than 24 hours are in light yellow.
Several arsonists have been apprehended. The homeless arsonist in the image below was caught with a United Nations pre-paid debit card, five cell phones, and a blow torch.
The Los Angeles Fire Department was caught flat footed, unable to fight the conflagrations popping up all over the county. The reasons seem to be a lack of foresight and preparation, insufficient resources like water, equipment, and manpower, plus the implementation of DEI standards which place sexual behavior and race above ability.
These are some of the issues that likely added to the problems:
In 2014, Californians voted on Proposition 1 to put billions of dollars towards building new reservoirs. Not one is complete 10 years later.
Pacific Palisades ordered its 117 million gallon reservoir drained into the ocean. The reservoir was offline and empty when the fire started.
Every fireman who refused to take the covid shot was fired. They are short of manpower.
The Emergency Alert System was abused, telling everyone to evacuate, even those whose properties are not at risk. Massive traffic created massive gridlock.
Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom directed that $101 million of funding for wildfire and forest resilience be cut from the $3.8 billion 2024 budget. This was part of a cost-cutting agenda for the entire state. Some of those funds were intended for trimming back underbrush.
Equipment was promised to Ukraine in March 2022. The donations were to include hoses, nozzles, turnouts, helmets, body armor, and other PPE.
The LA Fire Department cut $7 million from the 2024 overtime budget, which impacted air operations and disaster response.
Yet, with all these cost-cutting measures, there’s one department that remains unscathed: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
Deliberately Equipped to Impress
Los Angeles is dedicated to DEI beyond everything else—especially citizens’ safety. Take a look at the lesbians in charge of fire safety in Los Angeles. Oddly, they’re all named “Kristina” or “Kristine” with a K.
Kristina Crowley is the first lesbian Fire Chief of the LAFD. Salary: $439,722. Her total pay and benefits package is $655,000.
Kristina Kepner is the first Lesbian Assistant Fire Chief. Salary: $264,468.
Kristine Larson - is the first black lesbian Equity Bureau Fire Chief. Salary: $399,000
If you weren’t impressed with these DEI statistics, perhaps this will dazzle you.
Kristine Larson helped create a DEI video promoting the fire department. She states that the most important quality a person requires in an emergency is having someone “who looks like you” show up to help.
Larson adds, “Am I able to carry your husband out of a fire? He got himself in the wrong place."
In other words, no. She cannot perform a “fireman’s carry,” which should be a required ability to work for the fire department.
Fire Chief Kristina Crowley was hesitant when asked, “Did the City fail you?” She finally responded, “Yes.”
Who is running the City of Los Angeles? That would be Mayor Karen Bass, a former communist recruiter who spent her youth learning the tricks of the trade in Cuba. She issued a formal notice of grief and solidarity when Fidel Castro died—then later, when being considered as a running mate for Joe Biden, said that was a mistake.
Karen Bass was in Ghana, Africa, when the fires broke out. She was sent there by President Biden to attend a presidential inauguration ceremony—funded by taxpayers. Bass returned to the US, only to refuse to say anything to reporters about her absence and the fires.
The Rebuild
Most of those affected are without the necessary homeowner’s insurance to cover damages. Previously, State Farm insured around 21 percent of California’s property. Then it announced that no new homeowners policies would be written and no existing policies would be renewed. Other insurers have done the same. State Farm cites its inability to remain solvent and insure Californians.
Some suggest these companies dropped coverage because the city has refused to take proper precautions for fire mitigation.
California is the fourth largest economy in the world. The State’s annual budget is $297 billion, and it also has the highest poverty rate in the US, at 13.2 percent.
Why this Matters: Do we know that these issues are directly responsible for the LAFD’s inability to extinguish the fires? Chief Kristina Crowley admitted that the City government had let her down. There was no water in the hydrants, for whatever reason.
Some local officials and experts say that the overall water supply is not the problem; rather, it's that power was shut off to pumps in the immediate area of the fires. President Biden explained that the power was cut off to keep downed power lines from sparking additional fires—thus water can’t be pumped to the hydrants.
Instead, generators are being brought in to power the hydrants.
Was it incompetence, negligence and criminal intent that made this horror show? Is it a crisis created to cripple Trump as he’s inaugurated? Or is it a combination of all?
At least ten people have died in these horrific fires. Thousands have lost homes—including Hollywood stars and Hunter Biden, whose mansion burned to a crisp. Hopefully, this crisis will cause many in Los Angeles to consider the condition of their souls.

Judge Rules Trump Now Convicted Felon
On Friday, Judge Juan Merchan pronounced the sentence on Donald Trump in the 34-count felony indictment involving bookkeeping and payments to Stormy Daniels. The sentence is unconditional discharge, which means Trump is now officially a “convicted felon,” but there is no punishment—no jail time, fines or probation.
The sentence allows Trump's legal team to appeal the conviction.
The Judge stated, “After careful analysis, this court determined that the only lawful sentence that permits entry of judgment of conviction is an unconditional discharge," Merchan said, "At this time, I impose that sentence to cover all 34 counts."
DHS Secretary Gives Illegals 18 Months Amnesty
On Friday, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas renewed the Temporary Protected Status of nearly one million illegals migrants. There are 940,000 illegals from Venezuela, El Salvador, Ukraine and Sudan who are now exempt for 18 months from deportation. The renewal also provides legal work permits and prevents Trump from sending them home until the time is expired.
How to Pray: For Trump’s impending inauguration, that it will go off without a hitch and the right appointees will be confirmed. Praying that the people of LA will turn their eyes toward God, and humble themselves before Him. May the Lord create opportunities for all to see His hand of grace through this thick veil of darkness. Pray for failing winds and that renewed efforts will put out the flames. Pray the churches will be ready for the harvest!
Psalm 2:12 - Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
